How many times have we heard about when an Avatar sequel is going to be released and nothing happens. Let’s hope it’s real this time. In a post published through the Avatar official facebook page, released dates have been set for the next four films in the franchise. They are December 18, 2020, December 17, 2021, December 20, 2024 and December 19, 2025. This means that an Avatar film is going to have a Christmas release starting from 2020 all the way to 2025. An indeed long time to wait.

But then again its James Cameron, he takes about a decade to film a sequel. Remember the time gap between Terminator 1 and 2. Still, it’s worth taking note of several comments from actors who said that shooting on the film will start in fall, If their statements are anything to go by, it is then plausible that we’ll get the first sequel by 2020. Here’s to hoping that they don’t move it again!
