Paul Mcguigan is being considered to direct Bond 25 following the exit of former director Sam Mendes from the 007 films. The director is known for films such as Lucky Number Slevin and Victor Frankenstein and television shows like BBC’s Sherlock. This report comes courtesy of Screenrant citing indiewire as their source.

Why the choice of Paul Mcguigan noting he hasn’t made anything significant or popular of late is because of the director’s history with indie films and the fact he has worked with some British actors like Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch, the site says. Remember former Bond director Sam Mendes also had a history of making independent film before helming the billion-dollar bond franchise.

As of now, it’s all still a rumor since Daniel Craig hasn’t committed fully to the Bond 25 cause, but expect more news on any new developments.

The release date of Bond 25 is unknown
