Following reports that the first of the Avatar sequels will hit cinemas starting in 2020 comes its first piece of casting news. Fear The Walking Dead’s Cliff Curtis has been cast in a lead role in the upcoming films. According to John Landau who serves as executive producer while speaking to the New Zealand heralds made this statement in his interview:
“Not only is Cliff a great actor but he is a great person too,” and then adding that “No one shines brighter than Cliff, a shining example of the extraordinary creative talents from New Zealand’s film community that have drawn us to produce our films in the country”.
Career wise, this is a huge step in the right direction for the New Zealand actor who has starred in a broad variety of films and t.v shows. It will also reunite Mr Curtis with his Colombiana star Zoe Saldana as well as join up with the likes of Sam Worthington and Sigourney Weaver.
