Now that Wonder Woman is a guaranteed financial success with a world wide opening of 200 million dollars, talks of a sequel will inevitably follow and director Patty Jenkins already has ideas for what direction she wants the film to go. In an interview with entertainment weekly, the director said:
“The story will take place in the U.S., which I think is right. She’s Wonder Woman. She’s got to come to America. It’s time.”
Jenkin’s statement is reasonable given the character’s American origins and the fact that the current film setting is in Europe. Whichever setting they hope to place the heroine at the end of the day, they’ll be hoping to produce a film that’ll please audiences and critics alike.
